MPS-EDA•TFA, product number 10177, is the trifluoroacetic acid salt of N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-(2,5-dioxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)propanamide. This product crosslinks a sulfhydryl group and a carboxylic acid. The spacer length from the maleimide reactive site to the terminal nitrogen is ten (10) atoms long (10.7 Å). The product is a highly water-soluble white solid. It is extremely stable under recommended storage conditions. Although this product does not contain a dPEG® linker or spacer, it can be conjugated to the carboxylic acid termini of various dPEG® products to form maleimide-functionalized constructs.
