Hydroxy-dPEG®24-TFP ester, product number 11349, is a hydroxy-terminated, single molecular weight, discrete polyethylene glycol (dPEG®) compound that has a 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl (TFP) ester for conjugation to primary and secondary amines. TFP esters outperform traditional N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) esters, because TFP esters are less susceptible to hydrolysis and more reactive towards primary and secondary amines than NHS esters. For more information on the superiority of TFP esters over NHS esters, please see, TFP Esters Have More Hydrolytic Stability and Greater Reactivity Than NHS Esters. This product can be used for modification of amine-functionalized surfaces (e.g., silica, glass), modification of proteins and peptides at accessible amine sites on the molecules, and construction of dendrimers, among many other applications.
