Biotin-dPEG®x-TFP ester
Biotin-dPEG®x-TFP ester products are water-soluble, amine-reactive biotinylation reagents. Formulated with our single molecular weight, discrete PEG (dPEG®) linkers, these reagents outperform traditional hydrophobic biotinylation products such as LC biotin. For example, Biotin-dPEG®x-TFP ester products facilitate high degrees of biotin labeling for antibodies and other proteins, peptides, and other amine-containing biomolecules while eliminating the concern for aggregation and precipitation that often accompanies the use of LC biotin.
Our TFP esters have the same reactivity as our NHS esters, but the optimal pH range is slightly higher. Moreover, TFP esters are more stable to hydrolysis in aqueous buffers than NHS esters. Thus, in some circumstances, customers may prefer TFP esters over NHS esters.
