Build better aptamers with our Amino-dPEG®12-ODMT reagent! The primary amine end of this product conjugates to free acids on the 5′ or 3′ end of an aptamer. Aptamer PEGylation with single molecular weight, discrete PEGs (dPEG®) slows the degradation of the oligonucleotide chain and reduces renal clearance of the aptamer through increased hydrodynamic volume. The dimethoxytrityl (DMT) protecting group removes easily using a mild acid such as dilute dichloroacetic acid.
Another use for this product is to modify the side chains of glutamic acid and aspartic acid to contain a long PEG chain. Removing the DMT group leaves a terminal alcohol group to increase hydrophilicity and hydrodynamic volume in the peptide.
Try amino-dPEG®12-ODMT in your aptamers today and discover the dPEG® difference!
