Product number 10339, m-dPEG®24-acid, a methoxy-terminated tetraeicosaethylene glycol linker with a propanoic acid functional group was used to modify the properties of the B2 fragment of the neuropeptide galanin. Addition of the dPEG® spacer kept the peptide from crossing the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and enhanced the peptide’s analgesic effects in the peripheral nervous system (PNS).
